napansin ko lng ang tahimik ng makina pag wlang aircon, pero pag naka-on na ung aircon khit nsa 1 lng ay sobrang ingay na nya.. is this normal? wla pa nmang 1 month ung unit ko.. that is the auxiliary fan and compressor not the engine. its normal for all nissan cars. and even european cars ang ingay ng fan kasi malakas ang ikot ng fan nila specially pag naka park.

Hi!
Owner of a N17 Nissan Almera 2014 1.5L Mid here..
just want to know if anyone else experience the following after 2 year of using their unit
1) alternator was replaced 2) Stabilizer link makes a "blug" sound when passing over bumps and when hitting the brakes on rainy conditions. 3) a whistling sound when running at 40 and above KPH without stepping on the accelerator 4) a "open muffler" sound when running at 60KPH and above - seem to be caused by a rear wheel bearing? 5) squeaking sounds made by possible suspension bushings in less than 3 years of the car's use
your feedback would be highly appreciated.
PS.
if you have a part catalog for the N17 2014 Almera, i would appreciate if you can send me an email. thanks!

picked up mine N17 series at Nissan UN last friday night so far, so good.... the fuel guage is just confusing though, it blinks at 0 level and it says 40km prior to refill... does that mean, i still have 40km maxed before i actually ran out..? i find the engine noisy as well

Don't trust the fuel gauge. The KM reading actually fluctuates suddenly. just fill-up the soonest at the nearest gas station. I gambled on it once.. i left our house in QC with 2 bars left. When i reached San Juan it started blinking but showed 32KM. When i got to intramuros it suddenly flatted out. luckily, there was a gas station within 2KM radius of where it flatted out.

Been looking for a club/forum to join since I got my 2014 mid AT Almera. It will be great to have one so we can share experience, upgrade ideas, and more.
Just before my warranty expired, I was able to have rear bearing replaced. Unfortunately, warranty does not cover warped disc brake. So far averaging about 8km/l on medium to really heavy traffic. Best fuel of 19.5km/l on a controlled drive (80-90km/hr) going to Clark, Pampanga.
The noise from the fan takes a while to get used to but noticed that it is almost the same with my other car (Mirage G4). I guess the design of new cars uses the fans much more than old models. As long as it keeps the car from overheating.

Good evening everybody,i am the owner of a 2016 Almera 1.5 automatic mileage 2340 kms., I experienced an electrical fire in the engine compartment yesterday, below is a brief description of the circumstances.
On the evening of 23rd. April 2017 I noticed that the ABS warning light remained illuminated after engine start-up,I contacted Nissan Cebu Distributors,INC. Mandaue City and I was instructed to take the vehicle in for check-up.The brakes functioned normally and the brake fluid reservoir was full, I drove very carefully from Bogo City a trip of 115 kms.and checked the vehicle in on the morning of 27th. April 2017.When I checked the vehicle into the garage on that agreed date all appeared quite normal, apart from the ABS warning light which which remained illuminated,no visible evidence of smoke on this occasion.
Later that morning a mechanical report report thus indicated:-
(1) Check ABS sensor indicator always on,diagnose & erase DTU using consult device, and the following temporary repairs were undertaken.
(2) Remove & reinstall ABS sensor from both sides, repair and reconnect ABS sensor harness(bitten by dog).I was informed that replacement parts were ordered from Laguna to effect a total repair of the damaged components.
A neighbour's destructive dog had caused the aforementioned damage to the ABS sensors and harness.I was assured that after the temporary repair to the vehicle that was effective, and that it was perfectly safe to drive the vehicle. Quote " Nissan would not release a vehicle in an unsafe condition". Unfortunately this was not the case,as my wife and I discovered later.
The vehicle was delivered to the "Kiwi Lodge" Cebu on the evening of the 28th.April and I drove to Bogo City the following morning, the drive seemed normal and without incident. On arrival in Bogo at approximately 13.00 hrs.I switched of the ignition and started to unload luggage from the trunk when I was informed of heavy smoke been emitted from the engine compartment.I immediately sent my wife to get fire extinguishers from our house, and I managed to eventually open the bonnet which was extremely hot.I sparingly discharged 2 portable dry chemical powder fire extinguishers into the rear part of the engine compartment, then I was able to disconnect the battery terminal.Smoke still was coming from the bulkhead separating the engine from the passenger compartment and I then used water carefully applied with a scoop until the fire was extinguished, just prior to the arrival of Bogo Fire Department.
I am a retired Fire and Safety Professional, and luckily knew how to react to the fire in the vehicle, although at 74 years of age would prefer to avoid the stress with such situations. I am currently researching history of electrical fires is Nissan Almera's and will be pleased to pass on any information i obtain to fellow owners. If any member has had an electrical fire i would be most grateful if you could kindly contact me,rpeyton65@yahoo.com Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
